40 Days to a Generous Life Campaign

WEBTightFistedWorld200

January 29, 2010

Hello to all of you.  I pray that your week has gone well and that the Lord has poured out His blessing on you and your family.  I want to invite you to come and worship with us this Sunday as we kick off our “40 Days to a Generous Life” campaign.  We will be giving to each family in attendance this Sunday a devotional guide that goes along with our campaign.  I am really excited about this campaign and the effect and change that it can bring into our lives.  I am asking each of you to make a commitment to be in attendance during this campaign and to follow God with obedience as He directs us.

We have had the best attendance in our churches history this past month.  We are regularly over one hundred in attendance with two Sundays at one hundred and fifty or more.  As we continue to grow I want us to be aware of those who attend as our guest.  It is real important that we make them feel at home within the first ten minutes they are on our campus.  Please go out of your way to make our guest feel welcomed and wanted.

This past week we started the Royal Ambassadors for boys in grades one through six. Royal Ambassadors is a scouting and mission’s ministry through the church.  It was a great start for the boys and for the men who are leading this.  The R.A.’s will meet every Wednesday evening at 6:30pm.  We have room for more boys to learn and for more men to lead.

This coming Sunday our youth are hosting a lunch after the 10:45 am service to raise money for youth camp.  For three dollars per person you will get two slices of pizza, a drink, and a cookie.  We will take a count at the end of the 9:30 am service and a count at the beginning of the 10:45 am service to see how many want to stay after church for lunch.  This will be a good time of getting to know other people in our church and it will help our youth earn money for camp.

I want to end with a word of encouragement.  I would like to encourage all of you to be faithful to the Lord in all areas of your life.  As you are faithful you will be blessed, that is a promise from the Lord, Psalms 37:28.

I look forward to seeing you this Sunday morning.
