Hal Helton

Hal Helton was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He attended Liberty University. While at Liberty University he received his Bachelors of Science degree. While there he was involved in various youth ministries and outreach projects. He served as Minister to Students in a small church in Lugoff, South Carolina during the summer of 1986. Upon graduating, Hal moved back to Fort Worth and began a career in Law Enforcement. While serving as a police officer he felt the calling of God to enter into full time ministry.

He left law enforcement and sought God's direction in ministry. God led him to Victory Baptist Church in Weatherford, Texas. Hal married Tamara in 1990 and together they served in Weatherford until God moved them to First Baptist Church of Fort Worth in 1993. During this time Hal began his graduate studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He graduated with a degree in 2001. While in seminary God began to deal with Hal about the need for more churches to be started and his role for Hal in this ministry.

In June of 2003 Life Community Church began in the home of Hal and Tamara. Starting churches is a passion for them and it is their desire to see God's Kingdom increase from their humble service.

God has blessed Hal and Tamara with two wonderful sons, Trevor James & Ren Michael. Tamara is a licensed professional counselor as well as the leader of worship at Life Community Church. Hal loves and enjoys spending time with his family. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and sports.
