Hello to all of you.  We are well on our way into the new year of 2012.  I know that this year holds great things in store for our church family and I want each of you to be a part of what the Lord is doing.  I want us to prepare our hearts and minds to see great things happen in this New Year.  In this new year I want us to see more men, women, boys and girls accept Christ, I want to see more baptisms, I want to see all of our church family find a place of service in our church, I want to see all of our financial needs met, I want to see us grow in Christ, and I want heaven fuller and hell emptier because of our efforts.  I think we can see all of these happen if we start now preparing our hearts and minds and begin to pray how God can use us to accomplish these goals.  I know that we can see these things happen if we put God first and ourselves second. 

I want to invite you to come this Sunday and hear from my heart about the direction of our church.  I will share my vision with you and I will let you know how you can be a part of it.  Please come this Sunday and hear my heart.  Below are some upcoming events in our church that I want you to know about.

New Partners Class in January.  If you want to take the next step in our church and go from being a regular attendee to becoming a partner in our church I want you to sign up for our New Partners Class that will be Jan 29 at 5pm.  The sign up sheet will be in the foyer.

John Ramsey with Hands of Hope has asked me to pass on to you that they are no longer in need of coats or clothes but that they can always use the hygiene kits.  We will continue to collect items for the hygiene kits so please keep this in mind.

As we get into the heart of the winter season I want you to know what our Inclement Weather plans are if we happen to have snow or ice on a Sunday morning.  Our plans are to have church but only one service at 10:45am if the snow or ice is not too bad.  If the snow and ice are extremely bad we will not have church.  I will do my best to have the church doors open for those who wish to worship.  If there are questions you can always call or email. 

We have one of our church family who is unable to come to church for various reasons, Mrs. Lillian Plummer.  I am asking some of you to drop her a note or card letting her know that we miss her and that she is loved by her church family.  Her address is: 14208 Hoedown Way, Haslet, Texas, 76052.  I have talked to her daughter, whom she lives with, and she said that she thinks this would be good for Mrs. Lillian. I also want all of you to pray for Mr. Wade as he will be having surgery this coming Monday, please keep him in your prayers. 

In closing I want to encourage you to invite somebody to come with you to church, it might just be what they need and are looking for in their lives.  I look forward to seeing all of you this coming Sunday in church.  Let us come together and worship our Lord.
