Hello church family!  I pray that your week has gone well and that the Lord’s blessings have been abundant in your life.  Did you know that the summer is half over, it has flown by?  So far this summer we have had a successful youth camp and VBS both seeing children and teenagers give their lives to Christ.  We have baptized eight and we have five make salvation decisions.  This is great!  But wait, we still have preteen camp to go.  Don’t forget preteen camp.  Pastor Sean will be taking twenty plus to camp in August and I want us to be in prayer for those going to camp.  I also want us to pray about helping send some boys and girls to camp that have not ever had the chance to go to camp.  George Barna says that 85% of all those who accept Christ will do so before the age of 14.  What does that mean to us as a church?  It means that we must not forget this age group and do all that we can do to make sure that this age group hears the truth about Jesus and eternal life and that they have the opportunities to accept Christ.

Mini Mission Trip-There is a new church that is starting in Marble Falls in August.  The pastor of this church is my brother-in-law, Brian Boothe.   Brian has asked if we could help them get started.  I don’t see why we can’t help them.  Brian is asking if we could come down July 30 to help with any undone construction to their building and also to help pass out flyers about the church.  If you are interested please let me know as soon as possible.

In closing, I want to encourage all of you to be faithful in your church attendance and tithing, it is important that we have a good Sunday in both of these categories this Sunday.  We are not a big business church where you are a number on the bottom line, we are a family based church and we are interested in you as an individual.  This coming Sunday you are in for a treat but I am not going to tell you what it is you will have to come to find out.    Have a good rest of the week.
